Moab

I spent part of Spring break in Moab with a friend of mine from nursing school. The trip was cathartic after a busy block of classes. We car camped and broke in the mountain bikes for the first time this season. Utah landscape never fails to impress and humble.

Gah. Back to the grind!

Visitors

Christina and Francis came to see us!

My sister and her fiance cruised out here for a weekend birthday getaway and we were glad to finally have them out. Colorado weather failed to cooperate, and we got a wild Spring snow storm the day they flew in, but we made the best of it...

Friday night we went out on the town and saw Carl and Thom play an intimate show at The Blending Cellar

Saturday we got out and enjoyed the snow and the sunshine
Spring was trying to come on time...
After a walk we set to building an igloo with the packable snow in the front yard.
The finished product was sturdy and spacious...
...but needed something "else"...
Perfection!

Sunday was quiet - a walk downtown and lunch out before heading back to the airport. See more pics at Christina's blog if you fancy! The visit was way too short and we can't wait to have them back...hopefully this summer...
